As well as teaching English at the Chitrlada Palace School and for the British Council, he was at one time the news editor of the Bangkok World Newspaper and the initiator of the Thai TV FM Multiplex news programme. In addition to his two collections of short fiction, he has written a study of the Vessantara Jataka (a Buddhist ‘Birth Story’), and is now completing a non-fiction work, provisionally entitled The Road East.
