Proof your file for proper spelling, grammar, and syntax. Optionally, hire an editor or use our editing services.
Use a consistent method of paragraph and line formatting throughout your document. You may use tabs or your program’s paragraph or alignment formatting functions, but do not use a mixture of both. Do not use the space bar to format paragraphs or individual lines.
Use only one or two different fonts – use a standard font like Times New Roman. Keep in mind that the reader can change font size and type on most devices.
Do not use a very large or very small font size. We recommend 11-12pt font size for body text and 14pt for chapter titles.
Convert tables, inserts, and sidebars as separate graphic files either as .jpg or .png. Save all images as .png or .jpg with a minimum resolution of 150 dpi, and in RGB color mode. Do not wrap text around images.
Be aware that special symbols may not convert properly to ePub unless they are characters in a standard font set. For this reason, we ask that you choose a standard font like Times New Roman for all text and symbols.
At least 1400 px wide, portrait or vertical rectangle-shaped artwork (no squares) and we recommend a height/width ratio of 1.6 (1500px wide x 2400px high) or sized 5′ x 8′ for a printed book.
