One major learning curve in my publishing journey was the realization that it’s not always about being the best, or winning the game. Writing is all about the process. Some may disagree, but I personally believe that the rule of simply not quitting can help in so many ways.
Don’t doubt yourself. Stick to a goal and make your way to the finish line day by day.
Vladimir Nabokov, Russia’s most well-known novelist, had to work till he was 60. J.K. Rowling was rejected 12 consecutive times by major publishing houses, and Stephen King battled through years of poverty and drug addiction. Now they’re the most successful writers in the world.
There are always ways to make ends meet—sometimes you just have to appreciate the process, and that’s what makes writing great.
